Archival print on watercolour paper

18" x 27"

"Homecoming", 2022

Memories and histories transform as they are carried forward through time, embodied in our identities. My practice explores the intersection of queer, Asian-Canadian identity and intergenerational memory. "Homecoming" unveils my personal encounters with fragmented and lost histories. Employing both traditional and digital mediums, I create multilayered images that obscure more than they reveal. These works invite viewers to contemplate how all bodies, queer or otherwise, possess the capacity to reshape and reimagine the past. As bearers of familial and cultural histories, we each shoulder the burden and privilege of shaping our narrative.
